About the role Colonial Freight Lines is seeking an experienced Truck & Trailer Trades Assistant (TA) or a Trailer Mechanic to join our team in Maddington, Western Australia. This is a full-time position that will play a key role in supporting our truck maintenance and repair operations. What you'll be doing Assisting qualified mechanics and technicians with the maintenance and repair of our fleet of commercial trucks and trailers Performing servicing tasks such as major trailer services on different types of trailers Essential experience with Trailer services and bearing work is required for this position. Identifying and reporting any issues or areas of concern with the vehicles Ensuring the workshop is kept clean, organised, and compliant with safety standards Providing general support to the maintenance team as needed What we're looking for Experience working on trucks and trailers in a trades assistant role, within the transport industry Must have prior experience working with truck and trailer or worked as a trades assistant is required. Good mechanical aptitude and the ability to follow instructions closely Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship A team-oriented attitude and the ability to work collaboratively with qualified technicians A valid manual driver's licence and the ability to operate light vehicles Australian citizenship is required for this role.
